Allegra was founded in 1972 by Claudia DeVita. We offer the highest quality of dance education available to every student from age 3 through adult. Allowing each student to reap the benefits of top quality dance instruction includes the added benefit of raising self esteem, developing self discipline, gaining grace and flexibility as well as working with others in a creative and nurturing environment. Choosing the option to perform is a time to build the dancers awareness of the performing arts and allows each student to express themselves to an audience and receive positive reinforcement. Allegra prides itself in developing both the dancer with aspirations of a professional student to one who loves to dance for fun and exercise. Classes are designed for advancement without injury and we offer classes in many styles so each student can create a schedule around their needs. For over 43 years Allegra has brought to Greenwich unparalleled dance education.
