Katie Maguire

Katie at the age of 5 delved into both dance and the world of competitive gymnastics. She gracefully transitioned to acro classes, enabling her to channel her dedication solely into dance. Being a part of these teams not only honed her skills but also opened doors to incredible opportunities, such as participating in Make-A-Wish fundraisers and gracing the stage at Disney World's Magic Kingdom. During her college years, she embraced a dual path, pursuing degrees in both Elementary Education and Dance Education. She was proud to be a member of the dance team and had the privilege of auditioning for and being selected to perform in a piece for David Dorfman’s Dance Company. After college, she ventured into teaching and choreography. Katie kick-started an after-school creative movement program at Greenwich Country Day School, an experience that brought her immense fulfillment. Currently, she is thrilled to be a part of Whitby School, where she leads after-school dance classes and takes on the role of choreographer for the middle school play. She is eager to continue sharing her passion, knowledge, and love for movement with everyone she meets.
